Newbie from Holland
Hi,
Chip (-3door) said that i should join PF because i could find good tech. info over here, so I did here i am.
Don't drive a highpower ford, just an Escort clipper as daily.
My main car is a MK3 Astra GSI, which i'm prepping a new engine for atm.
It 'll be running a GT35R, engine is completely rebuild. Omega pistons, steel rods, steel crank, big headwork etc.
Together with a mate of mine we make some custom parts.
This is my car, little bit Ford it's RS blue
Little bit of engine
some of our home-made things
that's about it. I could post some more specs/pics on the engine if you want.

Great to see you made it over here mate
Welcome to the site.
Its 99% utter useless garbage and social chat, but its worth wading through for the decent posts that pop up too, as there are some VERY well clued up people on here

As you can see from the exhaust manifold he has "knocked up" with his friend for his GT35R LET engine, he is definately someone interested in doing things properly

thanks guys!
hope to get it running within a couple of weeks. Had a terrible time with parts which did not come in, so i cant build the thing.
It's gonna be an
ecotec 2.0 based main block
oilsquirters for underpiston cooling
15mm main girdle plate for the mainbearingcaps
Omega pistons
h-beam rods
chromo steel crank
uprated oilpump
cil. head big workover
mechanical valvelifters
stronger/double valvesprings
1mm oversized inlet and outletvalves
XE cams/vernier pullys from Catcams, more lift, not too much duration
i'll have to see how much the camtiming needs to be adjusted to prevent too much overlap.
ARP headstudkit
GT35R turbo, with our own made 321ss manifold and tial ext wastgate.
3"downpipe going sidepipe, separate 42mm screamerpipe
ownmade intakemanifold with trumpets inside, 70mm intakepipes and TB
4x440ccm and 4x630ccm injectors
2x bosch 044 fuelpumps and a bigger liftpump for the fuelswirlpot
bigger fuellines
Special steel flywheel from Vmax.de
F28gearbox with Quaiffe diff, doubleplated clutch
KMS enginemanagement.
Custom made big chargecooler, because i dont want to mess up my front with a silly big interooler.
If the engine is in the car i will try to fit an Eaton compressor that i have. When the space allows it, it goes on, otherwise i'll take some lag.
I probably missed something, but thats most of it. I hope to get a 500+ bhp.
some more pics
flanges for manifolds
don't know how you call this machinery in England
manifold pre-design for some measurements
collector as result
welding action
At this point it needs some weldcleaning with special pickling paste. And a polish
Bit of the intake
our ownmade trumpets
Downpipe and screamer
Mr pressure, same as chip but one size bigger A/R turbine
bit of the engineparts
chromo steel crank
inside car 2 weeks ago
Thats all for now, hope to get some more pics of the engine this week of next if the final parts arrive.

Damn you and your bigger A/R hotside housing, you are making me feel all inadequete now!
I may fit the GT42R ive got kicking around instead now just to outdo you
Seriously though, cant wait to see what results you get from it when it makes it onto the Dyno.
and must chat to you properly soon about this manifold of mine or we are never going to sort out making it at this rate!

DEYTUKURJERBS
Welcome
The inlet looks great, actually, the whole lot does
And yes, tech discussions and info are better here than any other website ive seen, only the TurboMustangs forum comes close.
Some great/clever stuff getting built in the Resto/Projects section too which is always worth a good look.
If you do a search for stuff on here, you can usually find your answer, and anything you cant find, someone usually knows within 190mins!
I dont even own a fast ford anymore, but for tech info/advice this place is the best.
Good place to be.

Testing the future
Hello and welcome Richard
Very nice work. Keep us updated with your projects, and I hope to see them 'in the flesh' sometime, maybe at the nuerburgring.
