I know people on this post seem to be bitching constantly (it seems that way to me anyhow) but im more interested in what Karl has done to your cossie, which i am assuming this BB is all about!!!
Is this conversion done on a L6 or L8 and have you got a grp 'a' or wrc head gasket?
Is your head standard or ported? Was it live mapped?
Im a maddette as we are called on here so was just wondering what I could do next with regards to the live mapping specialists on here.
And no i dont wan to start an argument comparing Mark's, Stu's and Karl's stage 3/4 conversions.
Sorry mate can't disclose what has actually been done because its TOP SECRET info if ya know what i mean
If i was you i'd stick to being a Lilette...ahem...i mean maddette....lol

LOL @ Ranj and Gus,
Do you not realise that if I choose to help at shows/events then thats me offering services beyond the call of duty!! I am not obliged in any way (unless specifically paid to) to offer help outside my working hours!! If your place of work/company asked you to come into work on sunday for free you'd tell them fuck right off would'nt you!!!
Think about that and then understand how pissed off we tuners get at all the hassle/bickering that goes on!
This is exactly the kind of attitude that really pisses us tuners off. You DO NOT realise that we have a life outside of working with cars and the last thing we want to do on a Sunday is help some random person out with car problems!!
The weekend may be the time for YOUR hobby, but messing with cars sure as hell is'nt mine!!! LOL

All everyone does it make Stu and I more reluctant to help out and thus in the long run it is everyone who loses out. For example I'm getting to the point now where if I was at an event/show where someone was desperate for help, I'd actually walk away

I really am not bothered who's is the fastest. Good luck to you all and I hope you get the satisfaction you crave from proving your cars.
All I'm looking forward to is going away on holiday, my own car won't turn a wheel now until National Day and then it will be out of action until April next year.

My engine was put back together by my brother and fitted to my car by my brother. in essence it makes my car DIY. I took my car to Karl's and he was not dis-respectful at all.. People cannot comment until they've experienced.

Just in case anyone missed these quotes...
Chill out eh guys? We dont need the bickering anymore than you lot do.
Stu @ M Developments,
As Karl says really.. but it has to be said its beginning to piss me off a bit now, theres too much of it going on TBH and all it does is cause rifts between enthusiasts and put us tuners in an awkward position...
As a tuner, and im guessing here that i speak for Karl too (Correct me if im wrong please Karl) i dread the situation arising where a Customer will start an argument with another tuners customer and it will be requested i back him up for whatever reason and then i will either:
A) End up arguing with a friend (the tuner)
or
B) Alienating a valued customer/friend.
This situation is grim and ive seen it happen a few times now...
Everyone needs to chill a little, banter is cool, love it.. but sometimes it goes to far and becomes repeptetive both to the customers and the respective tuners, not to mention the other members who have to trawl through it all...
When all is said and done, we are all in the same game here and yes maybe we do things differently and yes, maybe my greys conversion is faster than Karls and yes maybe karls greens conversions faster than mine.. but why does anyone care? Honestly, is 5bhp worth falling out over? Honestly?
And remember Kids..
Your tuner should be your friend.. Look after him

Karl,
Stu, I totally agree with you.
I am totally sick to my back teeth of all this bickering. The constant arguing does nothing but to piss me off (And Stu will admit this too!) and thus it actually makes me resent people off this BB simply because of the things they have said about me/customers etc!
All everyone does it make Stu and I more reluctant to help out and thus in the long run it is everyone who loses out. For example I'm getting to the point now where if I was at an event/show where someone was desperate for help, I'd actually walk away, because very few people have any respect or common courtesy to us tuners on these internet forums!!!!

Blickers.. best removed i think I was simply reminding the MANY people who have been bickering last night what me and Karl said.

Ranj,
Do you find it hard to accept I have a car that will do 200mph? Whether or not I chose to try to achieve that speed at Brunters is my decision, but frankly who cares.
My car does do in excess of 200mph that is a fact I have proved many times to myself but I could'nt care less if you believe me or not. It's not bragging or showing off its a FACT.
You need to try to accept that just because someone may have a faster car does'nt mean they're actually arsed about being part of car events.
Just because I like reading doesnt mean I have to be part of Readers digest club to prove it now does it.
Very sad.

Karl,
It's not difficult to see whether people believe it or not, considering it's hardly ever you that brags about the car - everyone else always brags about it for you!
It's just human nature to belittle something that is unproven - you know what this industry's like - people always feel they have a right to a piece of you if your car/work is in the public eye.

LOL, I think everyone has missed the point here.
I built my engine to actually see the practical limits of a YB for a road car. In doing this I learnt many things along the way, with the sole intent of being able to use this knowledge to build better engines for customers.
I did not build my car to compete at events but as a development engine for my line of work. If I had'nt developed what I have I could'nt offer the products I do today. (e.g. I can now offer YB heads that are rated at 600+bhp and 700bhp+)
The only way to find these limits is by proper engineering development and testing and this is what I've done over the years and can now offer very reliable engines as a result of all the hard work I've put in. Some tuners may copy what others have done, but I have gone back to basics using different technology to find the most cost effective way to reliable power.
Just to put a final stick in Ranj's arse my car makes 200mph at 8100rpm and I have hit the limiter of 9000rpm in 5th. Work that one out, and then come back spitting feathers! LOL

The engine has been very reliable, shame I cant say the same about the rest of the shonky old sierra bits.
I'm gradually uprating everything else as time permits buts it a slow process when you've got loads of other folks cars to look after!!

Ranj, I am a chartered engineer with a masters degree in engineering as it happens, and I would'nt want you as a customer in light of your previous degrading comments towards me.
I treat all my customers with respect and try to be as helpfull as I can, but I'm not the kind of person who welcomes everyone. If I think someones a tosser then I'm affraid you're not welcome, end of story.
Maybe you think thats bad customer service but I find I can afford to be selective as it makes my life so much less stressfull by working with people who are easy to get on with.
