PassionFord Post Whore!!
I'd go for that 500 shell, especially if I can figure out how to put the XR4i pillars into the rear windows.
I imported a pair of XR4Ti shells from the states a few years ago but they are very wide-arched so had to buy a pro-ten chassis for it. Still got one unused if anyone thinks it's worth the kind of money that RS500 one is offered on Yahoo at![/img]

XR-RS Its well fast I don't know figures or anything but I'm well chuffed with it, its accelerates like a mad man and its so easy to make drift and dohnut etc I'd say it was about 35/40mph on full chat?
Found this on ebay today it the same as mine but with the new Focus WRC shell and it was Ł60 cheaper than mine serious bargin for that much fun!

Bought mine from this shop:- http://www.modelsinmotion.co.uk/prod...467&tamiya=268

Cheers for the reply Paul I had a kyosho rwd impreza and that was great fun. my mates old Tamiya battery powered esc cos with a gold engine was quicker than mine though Maybe mine was fooked still seemed quick though.
I got the performance filter and exhaust for it but it used to shake itself apart, makes a massive difference though.

I came accross this guy on ebay the other day (he sells the porsche 959 replica shells)
I was looking for a Tamiya Porsche 959, anyone remember the one they did? IIRC it was 1/12th scale and they did an old style celica shell and 959 shell in the tougher white plastic. They ran technigold motors standard. I had one years ago (when they came out) and I was looking for another on ebay, super little cars

Ive got another email from him after pointing him (Keith the maker) to this thread.
He said he will do the Kyosho one, and also a scaled down 1/10th standard size RS500

Hello, I just wanted to ask how far did Keith get with making a RS500 shell?
I'd quite like a Sierra RS500 to go with my old Escort Cosworth. I've always like the whale tale versions.

Is he still making them, or has he already released them.
Thanks

Bloody hell, this is an old thead lol
I totally forgot all about it TBH!
I guess the best idea would be to email him via the ebay link somewhere on the first page.
I dont even have a car to put one on anymore

I filled out the contact form on his website ( www.kamtec.co.uk ) to enquire the status of the project, and this is his reply
Actually we never got that project completed, I have a few projects
ahead of
it but will get back onto it if you think there will be an interest.
Thanks
Keith
Please fill out the contact form on his website asking for the 1:10th Sierra RS500 Cosworth body please if your interested.

He replied to me a few days afterwards, and told me it would probably be just over 6 months until we would see a completed bodyshell, as they have a few projects in front of it.
In the mean time, I found an original Kyosho RS500 on ebay and purchased it straight away. It looks huge compared to my escort cosworth. Its more like a 1:8th scale then 1:10th.
It was the first one i've seen on ebay in the past 2 years.
