It's a pretty good job that attendance is not compulsary then isn't it 
To be honest, we don't really care if the place isn't fantastic, it's great music with great friends, a great combination

ok first of all sheffield is not the toilet of yorkshire and gatecrasher is not full of lowlifes at all, some of my mates go there and they certainly are NOT lowlifes.

You have ONE good footy team, the other is in a relegation scrap, plus neither of them are in the top flight so (just like my own team in all fairness) it's nothing to brag about.
There was a Gatecrasher in Sheffield at least 5 years ago, although I don't know if it was a weekly event then rather than a full time club. But it was there, attracting the same crowd.
As for not going to the right parts... what's the big old building behind the bus station? The murky brown river running through the city, the abandonned industrial units, the dirty big chimneys next to the motorway and the run down underpass in the same place? The wasteland on the outskirts of the city, the big dirty blocks of flats behind the train station(dunno if they are still there now)..... need I go on?
