Sapph 4 x 4 http://www.rsownersclub.co.uk/car_info/ser4x4sc.htm - 1,280 kg (2,816 lb), add 10 kg (22.05 lb) for Cat model.
Sapph 2wd http://www.rsownersclub.co.uk/car_info/Ser2wdsc.htm - 1,250kg
Esc Cos http://www.rsownersclub.co.uk/car_info/esccos.htm [doesn't give kerb weight tho]

Depends on what Escort and what mods are fitted to it .
A late model EECIV with aircon is the heaviest (side impact bars, twin airbags etc).
My car's wet weight with fuel is 1419kg. However, I can get this down to 1385Kg by removing MDF shelf, spare wheel and tool kit.
Larger than standard wheels and brakes add a significant amount of weight.
My Sapphire weighed 1275Kg with spare wheel removed and half tank of fuel.
None of these weights include driver.
