is there any way or any companys that can test radiators.

ive had a slow water leak coming from the rad area, checked/double checked/triple checked all hose conections and yet its still leaking.

just feel a bit gutted if my alloy rad has let go on me and would like to have it tested just before i go out and spend a few pennies on a new one (piece of mind incase it is ok!)

only think is cant see half the rad with the intercooler etc all in there so ive stripped it off the car, just wondered if there is a company that can test it for me while its off the car, tried several places local and keep getting blank faces!

You can do it yourself dude to save money,
Strip the rad out and and get a hose adaptor to fit from your outside water hose to the bottom inlet of the rad and fill it up then when its full (keeping the top connection at its highest point) put a blanking plug on the end inside the outlet hose of the rad. If ya get what i mean
you will get somewhere between 2.5-4 bar pressure of a normal tap pressure middle of the day is best as most people wont be using showers etc for highest water pressure.
just wipe the rad down dry and you will soon see if its spurting out any leaks probably squirt you in the eye

 

I have a portable pressure tester
all you do is take off the cap and put on an adaptor that goes where the cap is . Then u pump up the system using the pump provided and hey presto the leak pops up and you know where its coming from even if its the tiniest leak u can still locate it cause you can pump the system up to whatever pressure you want
i think most places should be able to test it if you take the car there

 

if it's out of the car, blank off the outlets and pump it up with a footpump to 10-15psi. If you cover the rad in soap suds you will spot a leak easily as it bubbles it's way out

My alloy rad was leaking on the end cap mate, had it pressure tested and all fixed cost me £80 but found out today its still weeping in the same place...so in the bin it goes

But yes they can be pressure tested.
