Whats up everyone just a quick message to introduce myself and to wish everyone a happy xmas and a good new year. I have just got myself a very sexy series 2 on 18" fox 3s i have had all the bumpers smoothed and the front bumper has been cut out to make way for my big ass intercooler i want. The only problem is i have a oil leak inside the engine bay , it is as if it is coming out off the dump valve on boost, the bit on the rocker cover where you put the oil is flat on one side could this be the problem i have also been told that i could do with a breather system and swirl pot is this true? if so has any one got one for sale. I recently got the turbo rebuilt and this does not seem to have cured the problem can any one help????????

And btw sounds like your turbo seals arnt too fresh thats a normal cause of oil out of dumper but could be a oil catch tank issue check the turbo for play mate and oil all in it lol

oil from the dump valve normally means its breathing a bit heavy .. have you modded the engine at all ??
cvh engine has a swirl pot as such designed into it..

the car is slightly modded i think its about 200 bhp according to when i had it dyno'd at power enginering and i reached 176 with a faulty knock sensor witch was retarding the timing apparntly but im new to the game so im not to sure.

did u do the arch work to get the 18s on? or was it done when u got the car?

my mate got stupid 1 day and actually managed to fit 19s on his xr3i cab turbo. it didnt even rub. lol

 

to be honest cowboi i did not do no arch work i got to remove the splash shield thing but apart from that there is no rubbing or anything unless i go over a big pot hole but she aint out that much so its not a major worry at the mo
