Went for an interview today for telesales person.... and somehow eneded up with a managerial position

Basicly this guy is starting up a new business ((he runs 2/3 different ones) and is hiring 4/5 people to run it.

The main thing he is getting done is setting up a website which he is getting done out of house. But as soon as I mentioned that I run one I made myself he literally gave me the job on the spot with the premise that when the business is up and running in a months time I could run and maintian the site, do some of the telesales work and look after the business for him and share some of the proft!!!

If the business does well, then I may be sent to Dublin in the next year/two to set up another one there!

Could this be the lucky break I have been waiting for?

My only resevation is of course its a new business and to be honest, dont seem very secure...

Make sure YOU keep "access" to the website, and if you don't get paid after the first month get out as fast as you can 'cause you won't get paid at all.

I wouldnt have thought it unreasonable to ask to be paid weekly.

Im sure you can point out to him the advantages of him doing so.

Thats exactly what I'll be doing, dont need a lot to live on, couple of hundred a week and that would be cool.

I'll find more about the business next week when we meet again and should be able to negotiate pay and things then.

Dunno weather to be excited... or worried thou
