As I cam out and went outside there was steam actually coming off of me! I had a first aider come rushing up to me asking if I was ok or did I need an ambulance!
I gave him a hug and went straight back in the technodrome for Vortex's set!

Jesus - a few memories here.
I actually used to have my entire wall covered in old rave posters - will dig out a pic when I get a chance.
Spent most of my time at Dreamscapes and Helter Skelters at the Sanctuary in 94-97....... had some of the best times of my life in those shitholes
As soon as I get my ridiculous tape pack collection uploaded, I'll post the links........

had tickets for dreamscapes woodstock 2 aswell.. untill it was called off!
Nothing could touch the old WD's @ lydd airport! loved them all.. and did my work experience with Jay @ world dance

I did a World Dance at Lydd for NYE one year, and then did it the following year (96?) @ Docklands...........

I'll be going to Fantazia in Scotland in Jan and then hanging up my whitegloves and whistle for good I think.

i was contemplating fantazia but there has been problems with neds (or chavs to you southern boys) at most of the events in glasgow recently so i think il give it a miss and wait for judgement day in feb.
i had given up on the dance scene completely but i took the mamoth trip down to global gathering last year and it was good so i recon my time aint done just yet

judgement day was like the rez but more hardcore/gabber type stuff,it ran in newcastle about the same time as rez ran in scotland

Fights breaking out at nearly every single Jungle rave, bouncers getting stabbed and shot at Bagleys etc etc
You just had to pick and choose your venues/events.......
I will never forget the first time I heard a breakbeat hardcore track when I was 12 - couldn't believe how different it was to anything else I'd heard.... and then it went from there. Happy days........

That was jungle though Pon. Unfortunaly it was all "crew" bassed and was the start of gang trouble in the rave scene.
The "Happy" hardcore scene never had any trouble - not up until 99/2000 when all the wanky pisshead chavs from Birkenhead started causing rows at Helter Skelter. Cunts.
The acid techno free party scene is the only scene with that "true" rave spirit.... unfortunatly Ketamine has hit that scene in a big way and thats slowly dying too...

I dont understand why people take something like that and just sit there and dribble rather than dance... but unfortunatly its rife and killing the scene!
