4x4 calipers on front with 2wd discs ( 2wd 4 pots need to be machined )

2wd discs/calipers on rear unless you want vented discs on the rear then go for the 4x4 discs/calipers

if you are using std size cossie fronts, then go for non-cossie mainstrem/XR rears, they are a bit smaller (and cheaper ) and the brake balance is better. You will need suitable caliper brackets to suit the smaller discs though.

2wd cossie rear discs are 273mm solid, 4wd cossie are 273mm vented (needs the wider calipers to match),
ALL other Sierra/Sapphire rear discs are solid 253mm diameter, that includes 2.0i Sierra, GLS Sapphire, XR4i/XR4x4 models as some examples. ALL solid-disc variant calipers are the same, including Granada. (careful with Granada discs, many are 5-stud so no use to you)

I have 253mm non vented discs off a bog standard Sierra, with my set-up thats more than enough braking for the back end, and even then with the bias valve the pressure to them is reduced.

I just need them to work, not to look bling or big and fancy etc.

Oh and the brackets came from richm

People are starting to rate the new Carbon Redstuff on other perf. car forums - apparently EBC has taken control of all production these days, and quality has improved.

I'd recommend National discs - really good quality for the price!
