is there a gasket between the pump and the block and the pump and the pick up pipe ?

Do you mean on a cossie?

If so then:

Pump and block = No
Pump and pickup pipe = Yes (make sure it goes on the right way around too!)

For the Hexdrive, visit www.cosworth.com, or any good mail order company advertising on this site should be able to sell you one.
