Default can someone help with an ecu problem????????

i took my cossie nto get the fueling sorted out the other day,it was running a bit week,so the tuner started to adjust the mixture with the screw that is on the ecu,but nothing happened the level didnt change...........

he tried for a while, but still nothing happened,so he told me the little bit of metal might have come off that connects the screw to the board,so when i got home i took the top off and had a look but it was still there?????????

but i have now been told that my car might be the change over year and the screw might not do any thing anyway,as the car might have an oxygen sensor????????there is nothing in the exhaust, the only other thing is the one at the turbo.....

can someone shed some light on this for me????the car is a 1992 k reg 4x4,i need to get the fueling done as it is costing me a fourtune at the min......

cheeRS ivan.......

Its lambda controlled pal, and can still be adjusted by the ecu but you need the original marelli software to adjust it.

Sounds like the chap wasnt too familiar with the Cosworth marelli system, try someone who specialises in them.

a. CORRECT = I HAVE got that wrong.

Or:

Correct, you got it wrong Dougie
The Screw on the ecu is whats known as a "Global Modifier" It adds a percentage to the fuel map.

Not uncommon for the mixture adjustment pot on the ecu to die!
Try another ecu
