Over the last few days we've had cards, letters etc coming through the door that have been partially opened or cutopen and taped up. If it was the odd one every now and then I would probably not pay much attention but I've had 4 this week. The usual postie I know and he's sound but I've not seen him for a bit.

I'm getting worried now that some arsehole is going to try and get credit in our name or something. What can I do?

 

They are more likely looking for cash etc in christmas cards. Report it to the PO - its a criminal offence to tamper with the mail.

did you not see the under cover documentaries on C4 about the postal service? shocking what actually goes on with our mail. one lad said "waitresses get tips all the time, so im getting mine!"

mainly looking for cash sent in cards but would hate to think what they'd do if they found a new credit card being sent out with pin inside it!

 

Its agency workers mate, bought in to cover xmas rush the way of life these days, I had a switch card takne last xmas, they got £7k before the card was cancelled..

Mate of mine had a private and confidential document from London fire brigade, that had beeen opened tooo

 

Try and find out what happend to your old postman or make an official comlaint. is probably the best thing to do. I would send myself a letter and see if its been opened.

The wife has just told me that the envelope we thought had been tampered with did contain £30 in girlie shop vouchers. They didn't make it here

 

yup complain, you wont get anything back though and tbh, shouldve been sent recorded or special in first instance

 

Steve you need to find out where your local delivery office is and ask to speak to the line manager... or call customer service on 08457 740 740, they will take things like this very seriously.

I really find it hard to believe it will be a regular posty, it really aint worth nicking anything and getting cought. Pisses me off big style cuz we all get tarnished by the same brush
