if the actuator preload is set to 8lbs, what psi would it be running

its only that i got the new turbo on the car and he said its set to 8lb preload,

but its only running 8-10 psi, im sure he said at the place it was set so it would be running around the 18 - 20 mark

any ideas

 

8lb preload means that gate starts to move at 8psi.

This will give you a maximum engine pressure of 8psi and then only if you have an intercooler and intake system with ZERO pressure drop.

The missing component from the equasion is boost control.. does this system use it?

 

its on a bleed valve as we had to by pass the amal valve when we had the last actuator on there as the minimum it would run was 15 psi and then if the amal valve was connected it would double it to 30 psi, so we by passed the amal valve and run a bleed valve but now we have a -31 actuator should we reconnect the amal valve ?

 

it will run 8psi on actuator only pressure... with a bleed valve you should be able to make it run a lot more! or even with the amal valve connected it 'should' give arround 14-16Psi
