Mine has been running all day and not had any isses with it overheating?Unless you mean the storys in america where they had been hiding there power supply in an unventilated area which caused them to shut down?

 

Slowpoke:Apparently shop's ect are getting weekly replinishes of stock,i know GP are due some more Core packs within a couple of days so id hold out with your pre-order,you never know

 

Should get mine on Friday. Saw a video of Project Gotham 3 and couldnt resist.

Basically it's a case of luck now as Microsoft are shipping direct to the shops due to silly demands all over the world. As soon as they're at the stores you can bet they're almost certainly gone within a few hours and thats the stores that actually get them.

I went all over Watford at lunch time looking for one but no joy. Came back to work and a mate told me that he had heard from a good source that somewhere had stock....so without further a do I checked out gameplay.co.uk who had limited stocks. Around 15 minutes after I had purchased it the website had changed it's stock status to 'out of stock' and next delievery was not confirmed but minimum of 14 days at the very least. How chuffed was I!

Oh and core pack was £250.

PGR3 on Xbox live is amazing Just such a good game i've been on it all day,the other 2 games havent had a look in

i've got 2 premium packs, am very tempted to stick one (only for the car that aint gonna be ready for ages) on e-bay and buy another one next month for £250

 

Whats the differnece btw the premium and the core packages ? i just done a search on ebay and there seems to be a few core packages available.

Im not really into consoles so can someone explain

 

core is bollox in simple terms

no hard drive, cant pay old games, dont get any online stuff

dont get the cable for HD ready, just an old crappy cable you'd have got with ur mega drive

the HD is what MAKES the 360, without it, theres not a phat lot of point

Yeah the Premium is really the best package especially if you have an HDTV,but you can buy all the HardDrive ect seperately,will cost alot more though..

 

i cant believe the prices they are going for on ebay, shame as i really wanted one, but im prepared to wait rather than line someones elses pocket for being cheeky and ordering a few!

 

their not just stories about em overheating.. people in the states are filling law suits against MS because of it and their promising to replace em no questions asked now .. good old MS and their shite consoles

MANAGED TO ORDER ONE FROM GAME TODAY

was just browsing the xbox forums at around 3pm when somebody put a post that game.net had deals in stock right then.... had been sold out since last week..


had 5 deals on offer... ALL IN STOCK


i ordered the one with extra wireless controller and 4 games.... £430 all in but i was tempted to get an ebay one for silly cash and they are the games i was gonna buy anyway


spent 5 hours today trying every electrical shop in greater manchester with no joy, found this and basically ordered straight away.....

about an hour later the offers came down and all were sold out again



just checked again and order has been processed waiting for dispatch tomorrow

What is the best way to connect them upto a standard TV ?

using the advanced AV scart lead sold seperately ? does it offer much advantage over the one supplied in the box ?

 

the only HD ready cable is the one that comes supplied in the premium pack

the scart is the 3rd best

got a list in order of cables in the official 360 magazine

the one with the core pack is the worst, it's the same sorta cable you'd use for ya mega drive

 

whoops, I mean S-AV leads are better than SCART

so they're second best behind the HD ready jobs

 

trouble is if you dont have a high definition TV then, the next best thing is S-AV leads....right...

do you know where i can buy one Mike ?

 

game shops, good electrical shops, e-bay etc

some scart leads come as S-AV leags instead of RGB and just have an RGB connection that u can stick the S-AV into the end of if u have to, but don't HAVE to use it

try Game or somewhere, the should sell 'em. If not, E-Bay or the like
