you going to be alright getting a mortgage for a house if youve only just started?

id suggest decent car... if youre comfortable at home then you can put your head into your job and make a good go of it first.

how secure is the job?

No contest... has to be a house. Far better to invest in bricks and mortar than lumps of metal.

Well, i'm going to do both

Save for a house.... just while doing the 6 month contract and if they take me on as a permy..... i can use my savings for a deposit.

I think i'll probably get a new ish/cheap ish car..... like a Civic Type R etc etc

R33 GTR's are dirt cheap now, seen em for 13k for nice ones. Or if you can stretch to 20k get an E46 M3.

AND get a HOUSE!

Property sooooooooo much more important than pony old cars!

R34's are at least twice the price of an R33 and not worth the difference in my opinion.

R33 GTRs are lovely cars
