Default Dunlop SSR tyres?
Are these any good as a track day/road tyre?

They were okay as they had a large surface area in relation to contact on road. But they were discontinued a while back, so if they are new then they will be old stock people are trying to get rid of. So bang them down hard on price Like all road tyres if driven hard they will overheat and go off leaving you no option but to come off and let them cool down
