Depends on if you're going to use it as a weekend car or an every day car. If the latter, the Evo will have you skint within a year due to it's high servicing / fuel running costs .

Do you really need to ask mate

Different league as has been said if you drive it sensibly it does not EAT fuel but it's fair to say it has an appertite for the stuff as for servicing as long as they are manufactures recomended parts you can do it anyway if i recall correctly

As for 17k sounds a little cheap

even if u know w friendly place that can do you abck door AYC service, , and u do the oil/filter etc yourself, it was the fuel and tyres that took the fun out of it, 100 miles to a tank in my 6 and a set of 4 tyres every 3-4K, worked out the actual running costs for 12 months in my 6 (bearing in mond nothing broke that cost me any money - just fuel, tyres, oil, insurance brakes etc) was £1100 pcm

OUCH

Mine sits in it's own little warm room for most of the year barring a few trips to the supermarket and back for the misses,

So my cost i expect to be alot lower more like HOPE to be alot lower,

i think the most important thing is to understand that they are not cheap cars to run before you buy it

17k for a mr 340 must be a miss print as they go for anything from 23k to 26k for that model

O by the way once you drove an evo 8 you will forget about running costs
