made a little video on saturday once i sorted the problem with my engine! it was the iscv playing up, tok it off cleaned it up and it ran sweet as a nut!

i had the loom out 2 days before remaking most of it as i thought i had bad signal wire

never mind its working and it sounds like this!

also have you got the turbo spinning with no boost pipework on?

 

its the tappets, they 'll quiet donw once its driven , get the oil going round!

it was its first really run since it was built!

it s been rebuilt, new shells, rings, bearings, pump, s, tensioners belts, etc etc


jus didint chnage the tappets thought they would be ok if i left them in oil!

 

if thats the tappets then i'm straight


not heard a cvh knock for a long tiem - but that one sounds propper banging knocking

i hope its the tappets you ve got me worried now! the tappets are the only thing i didint chnage when i built it up! thought they would be ok! i kept them in oil!

Could it be an exhaust leak from near the manifold making that noise????
