a. Spyder (convertable/soft top)
b. GTS (targa top/removable roof panel)
c. GTB (as mine above) the "B" means it is the "Berlinetta" model.

Some 355 wheels would make a big difference in my opinion... but then its trying to be something its not I suppose. tough one. They would look alot less dated than the 348 wheels though.
Nice car. Subtle in Silver 348's get horrific press and are hated by alot of Ferrari snobs but I don't think they are that bad at all. But looking at 355 prices now... you should upgrade I reckon

Nice 348 at the RSOC Beulieu (spl) show, belongs to Steve from Salisbury......
Steve is a builder who also owns an mint black RS500...........
We both had a choice of turning up in an RS or Ferarri as Wessex FOC had a stand at the show:

Porkie i was goin for the 355 originally BUT the fact it has power steering and air bags and a light clutch put me off...not to mention the Toyota comments you would get.To me the 348 was the last "real" Ferrari along with the Testerossa which wouldnt fit my garage The road feel is incredible ASLONG as you put the Challenge 348 rear track..IE by adding the 25mm rear spacers....although quite tail happy....must look cool seein a Ferrari broad sidewards out of bends...it gets a hard time
I do agree on the wheels this is the next upgrade...although they wont be off another model..as you say trying to be another....They will be right to bring the car to the more modern look as yes thats all that makes it dated.

Doug,
If I'm ever down your way, PLEASE take me for a spin. I've never been in a 355 moving, and it's my all time dream (very long term realistic) car.
To me, that's simply the greatest looking car ever designed!
This does follow a close second though:
