Default ST170 Caliper Query

Just got myself some ST170 calipers but as you can see I am missing the pad carrier part of each so do you know where i can get some other then ford or know what other fords have a compatable carrier I can use?

looks like the sliding part of the caliper is missing. why did you buy an incomplete set?

went to motor factors and got these....found out they are actually 2.0 calipers and not st170 which dont help either...only cost £35 each thats probably why!! I suppose i need to get in touch with fordpartsuk

least the pads and the 300mm disks are the right ones and a snip at £43 for both

on a side note are there any other compatable caliper set ups that work with the 300mm disks? This is for a fiesta rs turbo btw

Superal - my mate Neil works at Ford and recently put ST170 front brakes on his RS2000. I'll call him and ask him if he knows the FINIS code for the pad carrier. I reckon it's gonna be expensive though!

im gonna just try to get some 2nd hand calipers i think unless i can get the carriers with the calipers from the motor factors...dont see how they sell a caliper without one tbh

They sell them without because they assume that you're replacing the caliper on your car, not upgrading - plus they can squeeze an extra bit of profit out of you

well i got the disks and pads so just need to source the calipers now

shame the carrier on its own is so expensive although microcat shows it as one piece

is it possible to use any other type of caliper with the 300mm disks?
