Looking at getting a Philips 42PF3320 42" Plasma, but want to see some reviews for it first.

a chap at work had a 42" plasma, then changed it for a 39" tft and said there was quite a bit of difference

I bought a 42" Sony plasma took it home watched it for an hour and then took it back it was that shit! Took home the Philips LCD and its spot-on

im wanting a plasma too. Interested in your findings on this screen. Im keen for someone else to recommend one so i dont have to choose
type the model into Google and it'll throw up a review.

Don't even know what the Hz bit means and am not going to pretend to like you lol Mine is HD ready and has a far superior picture to a 2.5k Sony plasma that i had and thats all i care about not numbers on a bit of paper

Hz is flicker......i went from a 100hz to a 50hz 42inch rear projection...and for the first frew hours it looks bad until you eyes adjust to the flicker...the definition is mucho better on lower hz.

Yes Tiff front ones are rear ones give a nice picture..had mine over 2 years and was WHAT TV's best award Cost 1600 looked at plasma only as good as my TV and not as long life.

I am waiting for a 42 plus LCD

100hz is really easy on your eyes...try with your PC moniter...the higher the better for the eyes...the lower the sharper but boy does it fuck the eyes up until you get used to it

Tiff...spend as much as you can....LCD is the best out there...Plasma will be superb if you goin from a std TV though.

he's had plasma before and thought it was pants

Hz is how many times a second the screen flashes, ie 50hz 50 times a second. i always thought more hz sharper display

my missus nearly bought me a plasma for 1k the other day, until i saw the make, it was summat like egouiehrgwrgi

I sat in Comet for about 2 hours looking at different tv's after i took the plasma back! Shame i didn't do it before buying the plasma it would have saved me a bit of fooking around lol I bought the Sony plasma as i always buy Sony and it seemed like a good price but it was shit and not a patch on my 32" Sony thats now in the bedroom
