just wanna know info about the relese bearing, dont wanna say too much as when ever i mention anything im doing theres always some tosser on here making a "joke" about it wont work or "leave it to the pros" or even the " its not a cheep conversion and requires skill from a ex nasa scientist to complete" type replies
basically im after the clutch bearing info and what ways they found easy to do things ect
shame this site no longer likes helping people and wants everyone to either pay a kings ransom for 10 mins work or just pop on here to belittle folk with new ideas

ill explain
i wanna know if the bearing still pushes out on all ford clutches or if some pull back in as the ones i seen at work are spring loaded to push forward and wondering if thats just to take out the play that there may be to sort any potential rattle issues ect as in when its on the car the bearing is pressed back by th plate and then the fluid pushes the bearing out anyway
i know about the bell housing needs a hole cutting and also about what master cylinder im gonna use too

From what I have heard, you have to modify the bell housing where the lever arm comes out the side, to allow it to move further rearwards or forwards, I can't remember , and I think it is a 3.0 V6 vaux omega release beariing as it is centre push hydro I assume you can use this with any matched master cylinder off the clutch pedal

Testing the future
there's 2 ways of doing it:
1) have a slave cylinder to operate a lever on a normal release bearing
2) have a hydraulic release bearing
i can't quite understand which way that you're thinking of doing it?

If you want some ideas the mondeo's run a hydraulic clutch.....never tried to mate it with the cossie clutch but i cant imagine it being too difficult....we have the No.1 version....thats even easier....even on the proper esc setup they just use a nylon spacer to acheive the correct dimensions to enable the slave cylinder to operate......
The slave cylinder on the no.1 application is a standard item....i will have a part no. somewhere...after that we just use an A.P. master cylinder(but you could use a girling .625) or even a land rover master cylinder would do.....
As you say....P of P to do....
