Someone offered to buy the S1 off me last night.....
was round the parents house last night and a boiler servicing bloke came round. He noticed the S1 under cover under the car port....
this is the conversation...
"ahh...Mk3 escort......you done the turbo conversion on it?"
"its an S1 mate...they came like that"
"is it fast?"
"not really
"
"is it for sale?"
"anything is for sale at the right price" (and i gleefully gave him a wink!!

"what do you recon the going rate on these things are these days?"
"i dunno, about £3500 - £4000"
TO MY UTTER AMAZEMENT....THIS QUOTE CAME NEXT
"no way, my brothers got a book and their about £500 these days...i'll take it off your hands for £600 as its in good nick"
needless to say........i took him up on that fine offer and the S1 is now sold......
