Default WANTED ! - persons

ok , now i know this is a wanted post - but i want a couple of people who are free on the 3rd of december - where do i post this ?

i need a mini service crew for grizedale forrest, my usual bods cant make it all it needs is a couple of people - preferably rally enthusiasts with a bit of car knowledge, i.e wheel changing , oil top ups, ( eng, gear, diff if needed ) bolt check general car maintenace

now being part of www.budjetrallying.com i cant offer payment in cash, what i can offer tho is for the kind persons who help a good supply of the local ales in coniston after the rally for the saturday evening, i can even supply a van for a couple to sleep in if needed ( sleeping blankets required )

there are only two 40 min service times through the day and in between this there is plenty of rally action going on in the central service area have a look round here

www.grizedalestages.co.uk

after the second service i would recommend a drive into the forrest for the last two stages - usually just going dark for the very last , then .................................................. .........the pub and food

cheers

mark

i live in the lakes mate and sounds a good idea, ive done emergency service vehicles before in most british rallies from bournemouth to the granite city, i use to co drive for someone in the nineties competeing in the mintex series, always up for a good day out. as for mechanically minded i use to be able to change a f20 gear cluster on the gsi in about 12 mins, if that helps,

Service crew is a great way to get into rallying, go on lads, get up there and have a good day! It;s a shame it's not the Sunseeker as all service crew get free entry tickets to "For your eyes only" in Bournmouth!

And watching your service crew stop off at the local Spar shop and load several 24 pack crates of beer into their boot fills the drivers with confidence too

Mark - Im already up there with another crew pal, have hotel booked in Windermere and the butty's and flasks are already made. Park next to each other in service and we can easily sort 2 cars out

And then that means double free beers for me afterwards

You know you won't be stuck mate

Congrats on the good finish Mark
Car looked well today - and back where it belongs

I was kept busy keeping the Pug going as front subframe kept coming loose, and he lost the front brakes in the morning, all sorted though, but it meant I couldn't keep coming over

I did keep nipping over when it was raining though to shift the water off the top of your des res

What happened to Andy ? Was it driveshaft, as I spotted the gaiter off at first service, and sorted it for him, but was worried it would do it again

Glens Pug was rewarded with a trophy for coming first in the 205 Challenge registered cars so all that rolling round in the mud was worth it

Hope you had a good day

andy had probs with his alt belt kept flipping over

we snapped the o/s engine mount in SS2, so it was sat on the sump guard until we set off then it hit the strut brace , gaz ( my co driver ) did a stunning job 1st time in the car , 1st time on a rally 1st weve used notes

glad your mate got a good finish mate - well done for keeping him going !

Ive been helping Trevor Smith with his car for the past few weeks and we just nipped in to see how he was going....unfortunately the ECU developed a probelm and he retired

Well done 100% finishing record on the Grizedale is a testiment to the car and you....hope your going to do a little report....
