Default Wheres the most eeriest place youve been

Where is the most eerie place youve been, and why.

Mine was Lockerbie 2 days after the disaster,
My sister had just moved to her new house in Hamilton, and was her 1st xmas as a married woman, so invites us up there.
Driving up the then A74 knowing that it was clear for traffic to pass,
About a mile before the general atmosphere changed, no birds in the trees, the rain had stopped, and the sky became a weird shade of blue,
Then we pass under a bridge and oh my god,
This is it, luggage, clothes, papers, toys strewn either side of the road, on the field on the left, the houses on the right were intact,
Then we approached something smouldering, that was the crater, houses demolished, Firemen and army sat on the central reservation looking exhausted, no previous luggage on the left though,
Then as we past the crater the luggage then reappeared on the left,
Then we pass under another bridge and it was like nothing had ever happened,
Very very strange feeling, and had it been no more than 5 mins later that could have been my sisters way on.

Stood beside the track after the Ufton Nervert rail crash. Covered
in Sweat and blood (other peoples). As you say, totally quiet, luggage everywhere and some sad things there aswell. There was a train Bogey (the huge chassis the wheels sit on) sat on the track, with no train on it. It was a year ago last weekend and the wierd thing was Fireworks going off a few miles away. I turned to my mate and said that we'll both remember this moment for the rest of our lives (then, us two big tough firemen had to look away from each other as we were both welling up the tears) I know this sounds like a film, as does yours Big G, but when it happens it is just like a film set. Oh, and it stunk of diesel everywhere too.
A proper eerie moment, really wierd.
