Default OFFICIAL 1m 29.2secs for the 205 at DONNO today-with PICS

Had an awesome day today on track

Car was performing well on all sessions and one had one tiny little moment

Start of the day i was getting 1.32's but was getting quicker to the end of the day

On the final few sessions i was seeing 1.29's for 6 striaght laps

4TH gear flat out through Craner and hitting 110mph before hard breaking for the right hander

It is always a good day when you drive 55 mile to Donington......130mile HARD track miles......55mile home and the car is FINE

Was that the full circuit, isn't there a couple of options they do or something? i.e. different tracks or something?

But well done anyway! lol

Lovely car Tiff - always had a soft spot for 205's. Like the 1.6 GTi best - lovely balance

RS500's were doing 1:22's @ Nat Day. Sketch was doing similar to ur times in Tony's RS1600i. With tony behind the wheel, i think u could take 3s off that That is an out and out rally car though, with some very trick bits

sore your little moment at redgate ,seems you handled it better than
the guy with yellow egg box a lap later as he really binned it.
car looked well but thought that noble just had the edge

Seen your motor today mate, looked good.

Your obviously carrying good speed through the corners.

There was a race spec Clio there that was doin some quick laps too.

One westy type thing stood out though, sounded like a bike engine, timed it at 1.16!!!

That's about the same time as I have done in my Golf on the National circuit.

http://video.google.com/videoplay?do...gton+track+day

1:28 if you take into account how the video goes spazzy through the chicane.

Awesome day as usual.

Marks handling of the Redgate incident was awesome- 2 wheels on the grass and the rumble strip sideways had me thinking we were digging in and going over but NO

Its certainly a lot different in the expert group but I felt we held our own in the little pug.

Had a review of the rest of the footage and theres some more good moments and also Tiff- More flames on the back straight into Godards. ACE!!!

I'm gonna buy a roll cage mount for next time.

Depending on how i come out of the corner leading onto the back straight i see 110-120mph...

But as Jake said, we are seeing 110 through craner and it takes some holding too with the dreaded 205 lift-off over steer

For info
Mine pulls just over 95mph down there Tiff - so you must be losing it again on some of the other corners - or under braking

I take it the bug has bitten you

I gave mine 4 track days of 100% abuse and all it had was a set of front pads as a precaution and a pair of new std lower arms (which come with 24 month no quibble warrenty....... mmmmm new set every year for free then once I've destroyed them )
