can you install xp home on a laptop without having to activate it ??

ive got 4 xp pro cd,s here and none of them work whereas ive got a proper xp home cd that i used on my main pc

my understanding is that once youve activated it you cant use it again yes ?

you can re-use it.

if the auto-activation doesnt work (which it will), just ring the phone number and do it that way

the laptop will never be connected to the net by the way

its needs to be on the net to activate it

and yes you can re-activate a copy... you need to be able to... what if you format your HDD and re-install
