Posted picture size limit?

Posted picture size limit?
Can we have one please??
Ever since the picture resizer went into operation everyone just posts original sized (HUGE) images and despite the fact they are automatically resized this is done AFTER they have loaded the full size original. Even on broadband it takes 5 minutes plus to load some topics due to pointlessly large images being posted.
It would be good if the resizer just said "please resize the images before posting them" if they were too large instead of loading the actual image, or the mods just delete them and tell the author to resize.

I agree and always have, but automating it is FAR harder than you imagine. The thing is, its so fooking easy to do in the first place its untrue....
