Dave,
I thought it was perfectly good enough, and find it deeply ironic that someone who spells "nowhere" with a "k" has the front to diss anyone about their English . Is that a better ?

The homo 4 cyl ones aren't that much slower, as they are lighter and also due to having a charge-cooler, run more than twice the boost, so are only 10lb ft down and 10mph down on the V8s .

Although none of that is really important when they fitted twin chargecoolers and bigger turbos anyway.

No point starting with an already fairly stessed engine when a big lazy one is available!

The concept wasnt too bad, and the choice of car wasnt that bad either, it was just poorly implemented.

The problem was that by the time they fitted the nitrous the car was so fecked it would only run a 160mph run off gas, so they really were trying to flog a dead horse!

If they had got it mapped properly, and used a progressive controller too then i reckon it would have been very close to the 200mph on gas if the box could be made to hold up to it.

Chip,
I was just commenting on the fact that Steve seems to think the two are drastically different in performance as standard, which is just not the case. I KNOW this from experience. The V8s as standard cars, are not worth the premium over the 4 cylinder cars.

Not that I'm biased .

I know theres not much in it as std, but this isnt standard is it...

As a potential for tuning and doing 500+bhp, what would you rather have mike?

A 4cyl turbo or a fuckoff V8 twin turbo?

I rest my case

PS- I hope youve sent my stuff

I would NEVER tune a V8 Lotus, as the transmission is just the biggest pile of wank out and the Quaife transaxle is £10k .

As I said, even STANDARD power is too much for the transmission, hence why even despite running a mere 6-7psi, it has to be boost limited in first and second (and they only have 295lb ft from a 3.5 litre ) .

Pump should be with you today .
