ATTENTION
Couldn't read all of the thread.
IN MY OPINION- The best place to meet is at the MALT SHOVEL.
This Pub is EXTREMELY CLOSE to the NEC it has a Massive Massive carpark- it is gated and EVERY SINGLE car that goes in is video'd before the gate is lifted. The car park is also fully CCTV'd up to the eye balls.
I can go and take some piccies if anyone is arsed.
The location is at Stone Bridge Island which is underneath the A45 which goes to Coventry. JUST off Junction 6 of the M42, about 1 Mile in a straight line from the M6 Junction 4 and more or less at the bottom of the Toll road. Also it is on the A452 which is from Warwick to Brownhills and very close to the A446 which goes to Lichfield and the A38.

Bassttes pole is a crap place at the mo due to the police- I have a letter from Lichfield council explaining they will ASBO me if I go near there again on car meet.

We need to get the ball rolling a bit now......
Are people willing to go to the pub which Shings has just posted,if so then we need to sort a day every monthg as out meet !!
Do people prefer the week or weekends as i think weekdays will be better at say 6.30 on a wednesday night etc.....
I think the weekend will cause to much trouble for the show season

aye its ok for the birmingham peeps, but what about us from lincs, east anglia, cambs etc... itll take 1 1/2 hrs at least for me, longer for others... pain in the arse driving long late on a weekday, or anyday!

So we must aim to please all if we want to include this area.
I have spoken to Beech And i think we should have all Pub propsals on the table
then these will be displayed
If everyone can pm Beech with the distances to each pub - using RAC route planner
he / I will post up a mitrix of these distances & a decision of where it should be held.
Dont want to find that a handful of people travel say ony 10 miles & others are faced with say 70 miles or it wont work
do we argee this plan ???
