What amount of power can you run using a standard intercooler on a 3dr?

would you get 390bhp using one or would it have to be an rs500 type cooler to get that amount of power?

well if u spent stoopid money on engine, im sure u could get that power on a standard cooler

but for joe bloggs, listen to the masses

 

good question as i wanna go about 350ish soon.

As above---though i think you MAY get away with a 4X4 one for that power level depending on the amount of boost you run

Im asking the question as i personally dont think you can,part of producing more bhp is air flow and surely this is resricted to a certain degree on a standard intercooler?

greens , t34 , 3 bar , 500 Style cooler ,decent breather kit, 25 psi , based on standard engine.

T34 .63 (Though you may prefer a smaller/punchier housing)

Fuel pump
wrc headgasket to keep it together

Honest mate, Once Karl had mapped mine it was SUPERB on fuel

No , but if you wanna go further in future it helps , and if you get closed loop ( L8 ) fitted i don't think fuel will be too bad

more than likely my next step, not sure which injectors though, i'll leave that up to Stu

Not a hope in hell , unless the weather was constantly -10°C .

4x4 intercooler as a MINIMUM (and even this will be found wanting at that power level in high ambient temps).
