We got the emails from this too.
Including the one about transferring by western union.
and who in their right mind would cancel a £10,000,000 bid let alone a £5000 one deffo a scam

i got hacked a little while ago whilst selling a genuine dvd (im only an occasional dont want it no more so ebay it kinda seller)
some muppet in africe selling 50 and 30 of mobile phones in my name..
jesus did i get a lot of emails asking weird things (how much to post to... etc)
took ebay 3 days to sort but i htought it was OK as they did keep me upto date with all the goings on..
missed loads of good auctions though coz i was suspended..
