Default Pics of my finished garage!

Yep, it's all finished( except the shingle outside and the flat screen in the back wall) 18 months and alot of money and it's done. I've waited 10 years for this garage and I'm so chuffed.
8 striplights so it's well bright.
ACPO approved alarm.
Water.
Engine hoist that slides the full width.
16 plug sockets!
Internet access.
Tyre storage bay out the back.

looks good its nice when they're finished and they seem to drag on for ages I've got one in progress and it taken me ages to finish it

started as this

lots of digging

currently looks like this

I've started storing shit in already and it's got a splash pool that i'll probably use as a pit at some point I'm hoping to put the roof on within month.

But once its finshed its never big enough

cheers

Daniel

Andy, what did you use for floor paint, there's been a lot of discussion about whats good and whats not and that some paint lifts -what have you used and would you recommend it?

thanks

I;m planning on building one early next year ( hopefully ) will be nice having the car up at home! So bloody expensive aswell, we need ours attaching on to the house ( cottage ) but the stone is a fortune!

the above garages are making me even more determined!

Looks ace fella. What did you put on the floor again?

here's my double and a half one. We are not moving now so I think I might epoxy cover the floor and make it more habitable.

Old piccy of the car too

Cheers all, in answer to your questions

The bench was a Breathing Appuratus cleaning sink from the Firestation I did my LGV course with! Painted red, and it hinges up to reveal the sink!!!

Floor paint was Ł38 from B&Q and it's shit!

The Mk2 is coming on slow, but now I can start work on it!!! (I think it was all brick with half a roof when you saw it Jay. It's changed loads hasn't it.

The chubb alarm, hmmmm, I used to work for Chubb as a service engineer and I ripped all the gear out of a school that was being knocked down, I love the V12 PIR's due to them being able to do Pulse count. Essential in a garage. I still sub contract to Chubb a few days a week. Good company to work for in my opinion.

Cheers all.

Andy

and finally, me digging at midnight about a year ago!( with a skinny arm for some reason?)

looks good M8.

When i built my garage a few years back i got my floor paint off a M8 who supply's it to all the contractors who build industrial units.
What he told me was that i should spend some time and put a couple of coats of sealer (something like Thomsons Water Seal) down before i paint it
Touch wood its been painted for the last 3 years and the only paint thats lifted is due to me dragging engines around on it

Paul.

did you acid etch the floor before you painted it? as im sure you need to do it when it's been powerfloated to get a 'key', or it wont stick?
