The name of the bodykit is "Minicos". A mate did one years ago, think the side skirts are modified from the escort cosworth kit.

BTW he doesn't mention cosworth anywhere in the advert

Paddy, no your assumption was correct, because he just repied and said "its a mini thats supposed to look like a cosworth"

so you might want to take back the apology, you were right all along!

Having cosworth styling cues, and being made to look like a cosworth are totally different, but some people cant see that for what it is and instead have to argue

That'll teach me for not refreshing before posting

I suggest you do say hello to chip at a meet, he's a top bloke and normally in the middle of the biggest group having the best laugh

And if with all the smileys you were intimating that you were going to try and queer him up, I wouldn't bother he doesn't like cock.

i don't want to pi$$ on anybodies fire here BUT

if memory serves the original car that this kit is trying to duplicate is a version that marcos did on the mini, hence the minicos as mini marcos had already been used

Forgot all about the marcos, i think that predates the 3 door as well, so maybe it was ford owners ripping off the minis when they start calling their sierras as cosworths

If its a lookalike, wouldnt it be given away by looking like one, which it blatantly doesnt?

Well the ERA came out on an F plate officially, but was in development for a while before that obviously, with the first road going version being an E reg, so if it was only a year before that the mini marcos came out then maybe ford just pipped mini to the "cos" tag.

just remembered, it was dennis adams (i think) designer of the mini marcos that designed the ERA and he had designed the minicos just before ,which was going to be the ERA mini but was deemd to boy racer and they wanted the car to be instantly recognised as a mini which apparently this wasn't

end of my knowledge on the minicos i am afraid
