Default High Comp/Low comp.....another techie type question.

Ok, I understand that a n/a engine will make more power if it has a high comp ratio as it will be a better 'pump'.....I think.

What is the school of thought with regards to turbocharged engines? Is it the same. Does it depend on the size of the turbo and exhaust housing?
