Default Has anyone used an Escort RST Block in a fiesta ???????

The block is obv missing the crank sensor mounting..... can the mounting be machined into it ????

My machine shop recons its possible but has never done it....

Must be possible as people with ERST's swap to OFAB or Cossie management and they require that pick up as well. This way the want to drop the engine into the management and not the other way round

Dont know mate i had the same prob a couple year back & the machine shop didnt think it was possible.
I ended up getting a H 90 escort block that had the hole in it.
Built it up n for got to put the sleeve in behind the box to hold the sensor in the right place

It's a one minute job to drill the hole even DIY. It's very soft iron infact. However the RST block doesn't have the place for the knock sensor. (I'm not sure if the FRST uses one, but decent managements use it at least)

HI,

I drilled mine the block is soft to drill just make sure have a good
template, i used a 1.4 cvh which use the same setup sensor,
but after all the work used another idea for my cosworth management.

I have converted several of these blocks to take the EFi Crank Sensor.

I will PM you how to do it.

My escort engine runs efi Either drill the block spot on or get the 1800 bottom pulley set up

ive done 2 so far, seriously not hard, buy a letter spec cvh cps sensor as the frst one ends up being too long


also drill a 30mil hole and not a hole for cps only

The 1800 set up fits fine on a fiesta Rob, i have got some pulleys, alternator brackets and alternator pulley's ready machined if you require??? Still got the 36-1 teeth on too for the eec setup!
