Default Granada Cosworth

Don’t know if I’m posting this in the right section?

Can anyone tell me what the reliability is like with these...? Me and a friend are planning a trip around Europe and were wondering if it would be a good car to use?

What kind of problems do they have?

The car has to be under £500 and the trip will last three days…

The trip/ event were entering is http://www.scumball3000.co.uk/

Please let me know what you think about doing it in a Granada Cosworth?

Cheers

Pete

A very very comfortable car to be doing it in! Fairly economical too. The auto gearbox is about as inspiring as well... it's crap actually, 3 gears FFS!

Are you being sarcastic? Economical? Is it really?

We were going to go for a Jetta but we thought it’s a bit boring… and small..

Economy depends how you drive it.

i used to get 24mpg from mine on a run if i drove it sensibly.

they are great at and above 3400rpm!

A very good car imo, but not quite as good as my 3.0 Omega Elite

You're splitting hairs! It's still a crap gearbox!

And yep I found mine economical, on motorway runs it did a lot better than my Saff Cossie.
