my instructions would be, its totally pointless to start with a 1.8, because you can get the same power out of a cvh 1.6, so go 2litre

Skim the pistons by 40 thou to give a compression ratio of 7.8:1 for a 1.8

pm price of all singing and dancing ZVH please

Reason for 1.8 is that there isnt as much machining to do and im only aiming for a solid 220 bhp
