won't the rain help produce a little more power?
dense air loads of oxygen and a little free water injection to boot!!

Big respect to Rod and Mark - I'm really looking forward to watching this episode of Fifth Gear now!

Did they get in-car footage of the run?

Also - does anyone know what speeds (if any) the other cars ran?

It does help engine power and makes ACTS less of an issue BUT BUT BUT it makes accelerating and stopping ALOT harder and the whole thing alot more dangerous!!!

Water injection loses power itself (injecting water onto a fire never was a good idea! It doesn't burn and takes up cylinder space that air could be using to make power) but allows you to run more ignition advance by cooling the air charge temps and therefore reducing det associated with this. (Thats my understanding anyway)
