ok guys im not doing much millage anymore so wana get something a little more fun, and nice to drive. needs to be fairly powerfull as im gunna be towing the xr4 to track days ect.

looking around the 2-2.5k mark, been thinking either ford probe or toyota celica gt.

anyone had experiances of the abouve cars? or can think of much else that i could get?

any suggestions welcome. lol

 

Got a blue ford probe at work mate, think its done 107k but runs and drives very well, £1200 to you

 

probes are fookin terrible sellers, v6's suffer with expensive dizzy problems and rear calipers sicking

 

I would still rather have the V6 than the 4 banger!! as the V6 is a nice smooth torquey motor!!

I had an ST24 Mondy and loved it!

 

Only thing is, the 24v motor in the Probe is a Mazda unit, not the duratec v6 fitted to the mondeos.

 

probe motors also suffer from valve stem seals deteriating and then the motor uses loads of oil, Ford\Mazda want a small fortune to do this so make sure it don't smoke if you opt for the 24v Probe
