can any 1 recomend a decent paint to use on a block that doesn't flake & peel off when it gets hot.

I use radiator paint normally, which DOES flake off but only if it gets hotter than your block should be anyway.

PS

reason is that way if an engine goes wrong and someone says it hasnt overheated, you know if it has.

The key is in the preperation though, must be spotlessly clean before you put it on.
