fuel tank set up
i wanna put a ally tank in me s1 and do away with the standard stuff
what else i s needed?
guessing i would need 2 pumps, swirl pot and filter anything else i should be looking at?
how much aeroquip would i need for whole system?
anyone got any pics all installed?
what would be a ball park guesstimate on doing this?
thanks

Think you might of seen it when you were down at Tommy's last.
You've covered the main bits, I'd get them all mounted and then work out what connectors and fuel lines you need as you'll save yourself time and money in the long run!

Your pushing your luck a bit there I think Gus. Even the "Red top" Facet only flows 2.6ltrs per minute whereas your Group A pump can flow 4.4ltrs per minute.
Not saying your engine will consume 4.4ltrs a minute but if on a flat out run your engine is consuming more than 2.6ltrs - and of course depending on the size of your swirl pot, you could run into difficulties.
I am running a red top and a standard Bosch Cossie pump that can flow 3.67ltrs per minute, and it's got me questioning myself about my setup, although a N/A 215bhp engine will, I dare say require less go go juice than a turbocharged 330bhp one even flat out
You could check out the various Aeromotive pumps as you may find a bling solution in their library of pumps. www.aeromotiveinc.com

*EDIT* Just remembered I've got my fuel pressure reg return feeding into the top of the swirl pot so as long as my engine's not consuming everything the pump can flow the leftovers will get topped back up, so I should be alright.
