Roll cage question
Looking at tiffs post the other day, didnt see a reply to something that was mentioned
But why cant/or shouldnt you weld in a bolt in cage?
I know it kinda defeats the object of a "bolt in cage" but whats the reason???

Double shear tabs are used in some manufacturers bolt in cages

welding changes the properties of the material....
the joint becomes very brittle!!
If its not design with that factor in mind it could be a serious problem!
