Is there any way of repairing the reflective back part of a headlight if you get the lens off?

If not anyone got any contacts for getting Capri spares?

you can probably get them rechromed...
Think you can heat them up to get the front glass off.. but then resealing etc is likely to be mega pain


BUT i doubt its worth it on standard ones.

A similar question. I want cool Puma stlye HID lamps for my S2. Is there any way of REMOVING the reflective bit? I want to cut the bulb holder out and use a zenon bulb like in the HID lamps. Anyone tried this? Can anyone make me a perspex lens?

 

yeah ive thought about that before with my fiesta, as they are incredibly poor in terms of lighting.

not sure, id imagine is a total ball ache to get lined up and also pricey for lights from breakers I would of thought.
you can get HID kits that are about £400-£500 though think they replace the bulbs

 

Yeah, bulbs and voltage amplifiers. Then you need to make your headlights.... EEK

 

Have a look on e'bay, as theres a few on there for sale cheap at the moment.

Wes, i've been after you on MSN but you've not been about much this week!

Anyways, Golf = 7" & E30 BMW inners are 5 1/4 " [i know you didn't ask for them but hey, what the hell..]

P.S.. If the reflecter is fooked and needs re-chroming it probably wouldn't work to well as the water gets bewteen the metel and the chrome plating on the rear of the lamp which causes rust which fooks up the reflecter!
