what extra's do you get with the P8 over the L8?

 

Far easier for you to say what you require your engine to do.

 

i dont have any plans yet, but as i have both of these ecus lying around i'm going 2 sell 1.i dont want to sell the P8 just in case i need it at a later date.all i know its better but dont know why its a better ecu.

what would the P8 do that L8 does not?

 

P8 will do

water injection
dizzyless/coilpacks
anti slag
air to air injectors

will require a pectel board

P8's are pretty shit hot

 

The extra abilities of P8 over L8 is dizzyless and anti-lag. Everything else that the P8 can do, the L8 can as well (with a Pectel board). Obviously the P8 has more resolution than the L8 due to it being more modern, but if you don't intend on having ALS, then the L8 can even be adapted to dizzlyless operation with one of the MSD / SECS upgrade packs.

Personally, I would keep the P8 over the L8.
