Default EscCos - Flocked Dash or not?

As per the wrc / works cars

a) why do they do it? what does it serve?

b) worth doing to sections of the esc cos dash? or just leave as std

i personally think it looks kinda cool....but have never really seen any CLOSE up shots or any in the flesh ones

can anyone post any pics?

It helps reduced the reflections that you get off the dash top into the windscreen.

You can buy the stuff in a spray can.

It stops the light reflecting up into the screen and obscuring the view Dave.

I'm having mine done and so is Mmmtwaan.

Wouldn't do it on a nice road car like yours though.

Yeah I think it looks well smart.

would suit your car I think dave - most of the stuff youve done is motorsport based.. hence why I think it would suit.

not sure how long lasting and hard wearing it is though for when youve got the missus feet up on it.

Stephen C mentioned using a spray, but the pics posted here look different to Steve's. I doubt rally teams use a spray.

Fancy a group buy Dave?

No offence to Stephen, but I prefer it without the glittery effect personally, plus it would be copying

we was gonna have 2 colours, black on top and a dark grey on the bottom but it doubles in price due to them having to do the process two times.

gonna shop around though and see if theres anyone closer.
