Mate just recieved the dreded letter in the post. 47 in a 40 by a gatso

It is him but:

1) the date is wrong.

2) the date of the offence was over a month go, the date they stated is about 40 days ago

3) post mark is 20/09/05.

Im sure when these get sent through it has to be within 14days?

any advice?

There are circumstances when they can take longer than 14 days, like if the car wasnt registered in his name at the time for example.

pepipoo is good advice though, they know far more than anyone else does on the subject!

 

www.5ive-o.org is far better IMO as it's moderated by actual Feds and are very helpful and objective unlike pee pi pooh

Sounds like you have nowt to worry about tho unless they had difficulty finding the details from the DVLA

 

He's owned the motor for two years.
