Hi,
A friend of mine wants to import a sportcar from England to Holland. The car doesn't drive, so it has to be transported. He will do this by a trailer at the back of his own car.
What difficulties can he expect when he come to the border of England? (papers, tax what so ever) and what is important to know?
He is planning to take the ferry, seecat or train to europe.
Who has got experience with this kind of transportation and import/export
?

Testing the future

you can expect no problems whatsoever
if the car was properly registered in uk and not just some racecar, when he buys it he should make sure to get the ownership document known as the V5 (actually, that does not prove who owns the car, just who keeps it, so he must also get a written receipt showing the name and address of the seller, the registration number and the chassis number and the price).
this is the official government website telling you what to do when exporting a vehicle:

hth and good luck
