Default How do I do this....

I want to remove the plastic lines down the side of the orion and the rubbing strip's.

Can I use a heat gun just to lightly melt the glue, i'm abit unsure on this as I don't want to cock the paint up!

Thanks in advance!

Dan Mate, try boiling water on it, it'll take a while [Just do a little bit of it at a time] but boiling water kills that type of glue.

Then use some rubbing compound, then some polish and it'll look spiffing old chap.
